ex. for FFXIV characters, unsheathe your weapon in a place with good lighting, go to /gpose and turn the camera 90° and take a screenshot. Find the screenshot in your folder, right-click and hit Rotate Right (or Left). End result should look like this. If your weapon cannot fit in the picture, please provide another file using the same method but with your weapon sheathed (and visible) in the back like this.

If you are commissioning me for a piece that is going to be printed on physical media (ie. a poster, a shirt), please provide the dimensions you are going to need it in.
